As I write this, I’m inside one of the most beautiful rooms in the world nestled in Tulum, Mexico.

I get paid to be here—enjoying gourmet meals, lounging in stunning pools, and guiding my clients through life-changing experiences in this serene paradise.

Before this experience, I failed over and over again with having my events be profitable, fun, all while creating impact for my clients.

2018 – Santa Barbara. Only one person signed up for my event, and she couldn’t even afford the full price… Still, I didn’t give up.

2019 – Cuba. A group of six women joined me, and I thought it would be a turning point. But it was a huge fail. I didn’t make a profit, and I learned some tough lessons about what makes someone a good fit for group events—especially for international travel. Total loss: $10k.

2019 – Mexico City. This time, I was all business and barely allowed myself to play. But my soul craved fun, freedom, and joy. I could feel the imbalance.

2020 – Colombia. I put down a $5k deposit for a retreat, only to be hit by the pandemic. The world shut down, and that non-refundable deposit became another loss and a long wait for the world to reopen.

2021 – My father died and it encouraged me to personally try different types of retreats. Especially those outside the normal. The pause my spirit took to heal helped me create alternative methods for participants to heal in community while traveling. Retreats out in nature to process grief, sweat lodge and elders reading my ashes, shaman led plans medicine ceremonies to help awaken… Total personal investment: $25k

By April of 2022, after hosting multiple retreats, I was sitting at a loss of over $40k.

2022 – Our international retreat in Tulum, Mexico, was a massive success. For the first time, it wasn’t just a hit with my clients—it was profitable. Upsells generated $60k, and everyone adored our beachfront stay! It was also the first time I got to experience business with pleasure—a balance of expanding my business while letting my soul laugh, play, and lead the way.

Fast forward to today, September 5th, 2024. We just wrapped up our second international retreat in Tulum.

Four powerful women just left for the airport, carrying with them the courage, wisdom, and growth they experienced. Each of them expanded not just their businesses, but their relationships—with themselves and with others.

We stayed at a boutique hotel that felt like a living piece of art, a sanctuary for the soul. We dined at the world-famous Azulik restaurant, nestled high in a nest overlooking the ocean and the endless jungle. It was pure magic—a view that stirs your spirit.

We gathered around a bonfire sharing stories of what it means to be a woman in business, a wife, a sister, a daughter, and a mother. We held space for one another, laughed, and connected on a level that transcended words.

In those moments, I witnessed the true magic of what I mentor women to achieve: the fusion of Business & Pleasure.

This balance is what creates lasting impact and income in entrepreneurship for women. And it’s not just what I do—it’s what I live for.

From stunning Tulum, Mexico, with a heart full of gratitude,

Zeahlot
