2017 – I remember sitting in my office late at night at my agency trying to figure out what forms I needed to start my private practice. I stared at the computer screen for hours researching what others had suggested online.

With tears in my eyes, I realized in that moment my schooling and career thus far had only exposed me to agency life – it’s all I knew.

I didn’t have anyone guiding me to understand the administrative or operational side of starting and growing a private practice.

I went home and had a long talk with myself about the importance of mindset and how I could figure it out with what I did have as a resource!

My tenacity to figure it out.

The willingness to learn and grow.

The patience to know I could make it happen for myself.

After confirming the belief I had in myself, I spent 2 months creating, reviewing, and translating into Spanish all the forms I would use in my practice and then some!

Little did I know I would create something more impactful than I ever imagined by bridging the gaps I found in the process.

The entire process led me to creating a list of 300+ templates that supported the growing healer in different roles as therapist, coach, consultant.

Here’s the lessons I learned from creating it:

School prepared us for the art and science of healing, but it didn’t teach us how to run a sustainable business.
