“Decision making is value clarification” – Peter Drucker

I want to share a quick story with you…

Did you know that decisions are ultimately a reflection of one’s values and priorities?

Sounds insane, but I didn’t put the two together until a coach I hired to teach me how to raise capital a couple years back shared with me that the group model for her services probably wasn’t a match for me based on my level of value I placed on commitment.

My all in energy wasn’t met by my fellow peers in the group that showed up when they “felt like it” rather than consistently for group advancement as a collective to raise capital for our businesses as female entrepreneurs.

In that moment, I acknowledged my value for commitment to being a woman of my word and decided to do 1 on 1 work with her and leave the group.

The five figure lesson:

My ability to make decisions based on my values rather than match the group’s non committal energy was a testament to the woman I had become in the process of growing and scaling my businesses since 2013.

I became the woman who knows what she wants, respects her time, and honors her values- even when challenged.

This is exactly what I teach the women who walk with me on the entrepreneurial journey.

To embody the understanding that success is a result of the women we become in the process of doing all the things that challenge us to become who we actually are.
